The cashcloud Prepaid MasterCard combines the advantages of card payments with the certainty of never being able to spend more money than has been loaded onto the card.

In everyday life, such as traveling, a prepaid card is much more convenient and easy. It keeps track of, and control over, your finances, while your payments are gladly accepted worldwide.

The cashcloud Prepaid MasterCard is equipped with Chip and PIN. The EMV chip ensures the highest safety standards and uses state of the art fraud prevention. The storage of card data on your chip prevents copying of the data. Furthermore you need to enter your PIN during all purchases in Shops. If your card is lost or stolen, a third party is not able pay on a chip terminal with your card, because only you know your PIN.

A purchase on the Internet is secured by the Card Validation Code (CVC2) that you need to provide during the payment process. The code is never saved and must be entered with every purchase.

Besides the different security settings your cashcloud Prepaid MasterCard is already offering, please follow this additional advice:

  • Please sign your card directly after you received it
  • Please keep your card securely and do not leave it unattended
  • Do not let anyone know your PIN and we advise you not to write it down anywhere
  • Make sure you regularly check that you still in have your prepaid card

If your card has been lost or stolen you have to use the cashcloud app to declare it lost or stolen immediately, using the function "Lost/Stolen" from MasterCard transactions list. You will have to enter the CVC2 code that you can find in the letter that accompanied the card or in the app in section "Virtual Card". Follow the steps and your card will be deactivated.
